Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded in 1913 to provide opportunities for the college man seeking the best possible fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to each other and to the community and serving as a link between high school and career.
The Rho Iota Chapter at RIT was founded in 1966 with the same values and purpose as Alpha Epsilon Pi National. 50 years later, we are still instilling those same values on any man willing to learn and accept what we stand for. Alpha Epsilon Pi is dedicated to developing leadership for the future of the American community.
Throughout our history, our fraternity setting has served as a “learning laboratory”, for young men who later become leaders in a wide variety of disciplines. The goal of our fraternity is to help each student to develop character, learn responsibility, and develop a set of values through living together in brotherhood. Alpha Epsilon Pi prepares young men for their role in life as responsible citizens.

Alpha Epsilon Pi is the premier social fraternity at RIT, and we are looking for well-rounded men who share our values. Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded at NYU in 1913 and now exists on over 140 campuses across North America.
College is the best four years of your life. Socially, it is a time to experience new things, make lifelong friends, create lasting memories, gain leadership experience, and grow as an individual. As a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi, you will achieve all that and more. One of our main goals is to help all students develop character, learn responsibility, and develop a proper set of values. We believe in living in brotherhood and adherence to our five pillars: faith, honesty, humility, mutual helpfulness and perseverance.
Our fraternity continues to flourish because our brothers strive for excellence in the classroom and in the community. Our brothers become influential leaders in business, education, science, religion, and government, serving on the boards of many campus organizations. The network of brothers around the world creates a significant advantage for any brother who seeking work.
Our fraternity is based on brotherhood and mutual respect; hazing is strictly prohibited. We pride ourselves on not being a group of typical “frat boys,” but we still have an incredible time nonetheless, throwing some of the best parties on (and off) campus. Moreover, we are involved athletically; fielding teams in all intramural sports leagues as well as winning the intramural football championship for two straight years.
